In partnership with leading industry entities, the Brazilian Pavilion showcases the diversity and strength of its agribusiness
The Brazil Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, coordinated by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), will dedicate the month of August to Brazilian agribusiness, featuring a diverse program that highlights the sector's importance to the national economy and international trade. With exhibitions, thematic discussions, gastronomic experiences, and masterclasses, the programming will showcase to Japanese and international audiences the strength, innovation, and sustainability that define Brazilian agribusiness.
The initiative is the result of a partnership between ApexBrasil and some of the sector’s leading organizations, including the Brazilian Sugarcane and Bioenergy Industry Association (UNICA), the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), the Brazilian Beef Exporters Association (ABIEC), the Brazilian Fish Industries Association (ABIPESCA), the Brazilian Cotton Growers Association (ABRAPA), the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (ABIT), and the Brazilian Association of Fashion Designers (ABEST). The program also includes participation from representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) and the Ministry of Agrarian Development (MDA).
"Both the extensive program and this strategic coordination with our partners aim to strengthen the image of Brazilian agribusiness as a reliable and competitive player in the global arena, while also promoting business opportunities and technological exchange,” says ApexBrasil President Jorge Viana.
Throughout the month, visitors will experience immersive exhibitions that reveal different aspects of Brazil’s agricultural landscape. Highlights include “Brazil and Japan: Two Nations United by Agriculture,” an exhibit celebrating the contribution of Japanese immigrants to Brazilian rural development; “Animal Welfare in the Beef Chain,” developed in partnership with ABIEC; and “From Fiber to Fashion,” created with support from ABRAPA, ABIT, and ABEST, which showcases the presence of Brazilian cotton in global fashion.
“Brazil has developed a unique and innovative model of tropical agriculture, grounded in science, technology, and the determination of our producers. At Expo Osaka, we will demonstrate that Brazilian agriculture is sustainable and engaged in addressing major global challenges,” says ApexBrasil’s Agribusiness Manager, Laudemir Muller.
The program will also include strategic dialogues that bring together experts, authorities, and sector representatives to discuss key topics such as the energy transition, innovation, and sustainability. Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover Brazilian products already found in Japanese supermarkets, such as açaí, coffee, and chocolate. To enhance the experience, the Brazil Pavilion will host the “Brazilian Coffee Experience,” allowing the public to immerse themselves in Brazil’s coffee tradition.
The month-long series of activities will conclude with the debate “Women Weaving the Future: From Sustainability to Innovation,” organized by ApexBrasil, ABRAPA, ABIT, and ABEST. The event will highlight the leadership of women in agribusiness and the textile industry. It also marks the closing of the agribusiness-focused month and the beginning of Women’s Week, which will take place at the pavilion from August 24 to 29.
