In 2024 we will celebrate 200 years of diplomatic relations between Brazil and the United States. In this context, ApexBrasil's Intelligence Department is launching the third edition of the Brazil-United States Bilateral Trade and Investment Map, covering the current state of trade relations between the two countries, and supporting investors and policymakers with useful information for their bilateral investment strategies, thus expanding trade and direct investment between Brazil and the USA.
The Map is divided into 3 main parts: Macroeconomics, Trade, and Investments. In the chapters on investments, the study also includes cases of American companies investing in Brazil and Brazilian companies investing in the USA.
In 2023, the United States was Brazil's second largest trading partner, with a trade flow of almost US$ 75 billion, and the second largest destination for our exports, especially in the manufacturing industry. In terms of investments, the United States has been the main foreign investor in Brazil for more than a decade, with a stock of US$ 246.3 billion in 2022, approximately a quarter of total foreign direct investments in the country.
Check out those figures, as well as information and analysis on the partnership between our country and the world's leading economy.
