Paths to Ecological Transformation

This year's central message is "Paths to Ecological Transformation." Two structured federal government plans, led by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Environment, represent the agenda: the Ecological Transformation Plan (PTE) and the Climate Plan.

Besides "preservation, conservation, and regeneration of forest assets," the pavilion's narrative aims to debate how to build sustainable infrastructure and generate science and knowledge through seven axes:

  1. sustainable finance,
  2. technological advancement,
  3. bioeconomy and agri-food systems,
  4. energy transition,
  5. circular economy,
  6. new infrastructure, and
  7. climate change adaptation.

Some of these actions have already been implemented, are under discussion, or still depend on issuing calls for proposals from the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES).

About the Brazil Space

The Brazil Pavilion is in the Blue Zone, alongside pavilions from other countries and organisations. Activities like lectures and events at the Brazil Pavilion run parallel to diplomatic negotiations held in another area of the Conference. In addition to showcasing content about the country, the auditorium will host panels to present and debate solutions for climate change mitigation and adaptation.

About COP29

The United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP UNFCCC) was established to unite all parties: governments, youth, businesses and investors, civil society, traditional communities, and Indigenous peoples, among others. Everyone united to find solutions to limit warming to 1.5°C, create resilience, and mobilise large-scale financing. For more information, visit the official COP 29 website: https://cop29.az/en.

Blue Zone

The Blue Zone is the formal conference and negotiation area managed by the UNFCCC. It hosts all official sessions, meetings, side events, and press conferences during COP 29. Only UNFCCC-accredited participants, including country delegations, heads of state, admitted observers, and accredited press, can enter the Blue Zone.

Green Zone

The Green Zone serves as a meeting point for various stakeholders: the general public, private companies, journalists, experts and academics, youth, indigenous communities, NGOs, civil society, and delegates. Managed by the COP 29 Presidency, it provides a dynamic forum for participants to share their perspectives. It's a hub for discussions, panels, and demonstrations showcasing current innovations and potential solutions to combat climate change.

Electronic tickets are required to access the Green Zone. Tickets are free. Visitors can obtain their tickets online on a specific site in early November.
