Web Summit is an international event that brings together CEOs of tech companies, fast-growing startups, investors, and decision-makers to discuss the next steps and technological challenges in the industry, and, most importantly, to develop networking opportunities for business deals.

The initiative is an opportunity for visibility for Brazilian startups seeking investments and entry into the European market. Organized by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Brazilian Embassy in Lisbon, and Sebrae, in partnership with Serpro, the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, and Embratur, the event will take place from November 11 to 14 in Lisbon, Portugal.

This year, the Brazilian delegation will include over 200 startups and innovative companies, as well as partner institutions from the innovation sector. 

ApexBrasil Leads its Largest, Most Diverse Delegation to Web Summit Lisbon 2023

At the Web Summit Lisbon 2023, ApexBrasil is poised to leave an indelible mark by presenting its most sizable and varied delegation ever, showcasing over 173 Brazilian startups and companies that embody innovation, scalability, and a dedication to fostering regional diversity and gender equality. From November 12th to 17th, these firms will converge in Lisbon, making it the nexus for forging pivotal global connections, with the participation of more than 1,000 investors from 160 countries. Here, Brazilian businesses will not only highlight their innovative prowess within the Brazil Pavilion but also deeply engage with Portugal's flourishing innovation ecosystem, thanks to the concerted efforts of ApexBrasil, Brazil's MDIC, MRE, the Brazilian Embassy in Lisbon, and partners such as SEBRAE and SERPRO. ApexBrasil's president, Jorge Viana, underscores the Summit's crucial role in affirming Brazil's innovative spirit on the world stage and propelling an unmatched contingent of Brazilian enterprises to international acclaim and market expansion.
